Basic Impaired Driving Detection Techniques (Ontario)
This Basic Impaired Driving Detection Techniques (Ontario) online course was designed for police officers who are interested in becoming more familiar with the various drugs that can impair driving and the observable signs of drug impairment.
The purpose of this course is to ensure that police officers are able to identify and gather evidence of impairment due to alcohol and or another other drugs, thereby stopping impaired drivers and subsequently reducing the number of crashes, deaths, and injuries caused by impaired drivers.
When you have completed this course, you will be able to:
- Recall the steps involved in the traffic stop process
- Recognize the seven (7) drug categories and the signs of impairment
- Recall what are reasonable grounds and their impact on impaired driving cases
This course is designed for Sworn Police Officers.
